Oscars 2019: All the nominees for the Academy Awards, updated live

FULL LIST OF WINNERS: A surprise face has beaten two favoured stars to be named Best Actress in a night of surprises at the Oscars.

Oscars 2019: Gaga wins gold

And that’s a wrap for the 91st Academy Awards, where dark horse Best Actress winner Olivia Colman has stolen the spotlight with her hilarious victory speech.

The British actress, 45, blitzed a field of favourites including Glenn Close and Lady Gaga to win Best Actress for The Favourite. She also edged out Melissa McCarthy and Yalitza Aparicio.

Colman, who’s getting a reputation for funny, scene-stealing speeches, was clearly stunned when she was presented with her golden statue.

“It’s genuinely quite stressful. This is hilarious … got an Oscar!” she said, grinning and fighting back tears.

“OK. I have to thank lots of people. If by the way I forget anybody, I will find you later and give you a massive snog.

“My kids who are at home and watching. Look. Well if you are not, then kind of well done. But I sort of — sort of hope you are. This is not going to happen again.

“And when I — I used to work as a cleaner and I loved that job. I did spend quite a lot of my time imagining this.”

She then blurted out her inner monologue, saying: “Please wrap up. Right. OK.”

“Thank you — my husband Ed. My best friend, I love you so much. 25 years you have been my best supporter.

“He’s going to cry. I’m not.”

Colman, who received a standing ovation, finished off her epic speech by randomly screaming “Lady Gaga” while staring lovingly at her fellow nominee.

Controversial favourite Green Book also caused a surprise upset, beating frontrunners Roma and The Favourite to win Best Picture.

Green Book, the story of a white chauffeur and a black musician, won three of its five Academy Award nominations this year, including Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay and of course, Best Picture.

The Best Actor award unsurprisingly went to Rami Malek for Bohemian Rhapsody, while Alfonso Cuaron took out Best Director for Roma.

An emotional Lady Gaga won an Oscar for her smash hit Shallow from A Star Is Born.
