Madonna accidentally pulled off stage by backup dancer while performing at Brit Awards
MADONNA has thanked fans for their good wishes and explained the reason behind her massive fall at the Brit awards, which saw her fly backwards down a set of stairs.
MADONNA has spoken out after her massive fall on-stage at the 2015 Brit Awards, thanking fans for their good wishes and explaining the reason she was pulled off stage by a back-up dancer.
The 56-year-old reassured her fans that she was “fine” after the embarrassing incident and shed light on how the incident occurred.
“Armani hooked me up!” she said of the cape that led to her undoing.
“My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I’m fine! #livingforlove”
Madge started performing her new single Living For Love while making her way to the stage from the crowd.
But her dancers caused a massive problem when they tried to swiftly remove the long cape she was wearing by appearing to pull it off from around her neck.

The cape didn’t detach from Madonna — and she went flying backwards down the stairs.
The irony of the lyrics in the song was not lost on her fans: “Took me to heaven and let me fall down/ Now that it’s over/ I’m gonna carry on/ Lifted me up, and watched me stumble/ After the heartache, I’m gonna carry on.”
Twitter quickly exploded with comments and memes.
At her age this could be a broken hip for Madonna https://t.co/dLXf9UIKVm

After the performance, members from Madonna’s team ran to her aid.
One reporter said the thump from her fall echoed throughout the arena and the microphone was heard hitting the floor.
Madge finished the song — but she took a few awkward moments to get to her feet.
