Reality TV star Gina Chick shares revealing prep ahead of Logies red carpet
Recent Aussie reality TV winner Gina Chick gave her followers a very revealing look at what it takes to prep for the Logies.
Aussie reality TV star Gina Chick has shared a candid post ahead of the TV Logie Awards this evening.
The 52-year-old winner of the groundbreaking SBS series Alone thanked her stylist Miguel Urbina Tan, who is also a contributing fashion editor at GQ Australia, for helping her get glammed up for star-studded red carpet event at The Star in Sydney.
“The amazing @miguelurbinatan who has made me feel like something otherworldly, in a dress from @jordangogos and @akiraisogawa,” Chick wrote on Instagram alongside two photos of herself getting ready.
However, the TV star joked that it’s comfort over couture for her as she plans to walk the red carpet barefoot.
“Pic number two is the risqué dressing room shot as Liat starts the process of assembling the dress around me,” she wrote, before hilariously adding: “Now my bare feet and I are about to walk the red carpet. Wish me luck!!”
It’s no wonder Chick can tackle any terrain barefoot – she did, after all, survive the Tasmanian Wilderness for a gruelling 67 days without any luxuries or staples to take out the $250,000 cash prize one Alone, which is nominated for Most Outstanding Factual or Documentary Program.
In the survival program, Chick and nine other contestants are dumped in the wilderness to deal with the forces of nature, hunger and loneliness in complete isolation from each other.
The show is alread popular in the US and various Scandinavian countries, but Chick is the oldest ever participant to ever win the series and only the second female to take out the title.
Alone takes on other standout programs, including Australia’s Wild Odyssey, Old People’s Home For Teenagers, Revealed: Trafficked, The Australian Wars and Todd Sampson’s Mirror Mirror: Love & Hate.
Will her show win? Find out as we reveal all tonight’s winners, as they’re announced.
