Jared Leto considered dressing up as his Dallas Buyers Club character for the Oscars

JARED Leto was considering causing quite the stir at the Oscars where he won best supporting actor. What was it and why didn’t he follow through?

JARED Leto looked dashing on the Oscars red carpet, but the actor has revealed that he almost went with a very different outfit.

Speaking to the London Evening Standard, the 42-year-old said he considered rocking up to the Academy Awards dressed as his transgender character from Dallas Buyers Club.

“I thought about dragging up for the Oscars, going as Rayon, because I knew that she would have loved to be there,” Leto said.

This is what Leto could have looked like on the Oscars red carpet.

“It’s so much work for girls to get ready. I was brought up by my mum, so I always had an appreciation of women. But now I have more respect for the process. It’s a lot, what women have to do to themselves. But in the end, when you put that final dash of lipstick on and your look all comes together, it really is a glorious reward.”

Leto, who is currently in Australia with his band Thirty Seconds to Mars, also revealed that he partied pretty hard after winning best supporting actor at the Oscars.

“It was pretty f***ing fantastic to see all those Hollywood dreamers letting loose with such abandon,” Leto said.

“I looked over and my mother was dancing with Madonna.”
