Golden Globes 2022 full winners list: Will Smith, Nicole Kidman win big awards
The Golden Globes has wrapped and it was a big night for Australian actors. Here are the full list of winners.
The 2022 Golden Globes has taken place today, but it wasn’t the glitzy and glamorous spectacle we know and love.
This year’s event was without a host, red carpet or a live ceremony, with the winners simply announced on social media and via a slideshow presentation on the Globes website (see the list of winners below).
It’s a spectacular fall from grace from the glory days of Hollywood’s wildest night, which has suffered a mass boycott after revelations the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) – the organisation that governs the event – didn’t have a single black member among its voting body.
It saw NBC drop the 2022 Globes from its broadcast for the first time since 1996.
But the show has gone on in a smaller capacity, with US actor Will Smith finally taking home a Best Actor Globe for King Richard, after being nominated six times throughout his career.
It was also a great night for Australian actors, with Nicole Kidman picking up Best Actress, Drama for Being the Ricardos, Sarah Snook winning Best Supporting Actress, Drama for Succession and Kodi Smit-McPhee scoring Best Supporting Actor for The Power of the Dog.
