Bryce Dallas Howard’s sequin number at the Golden Globes savaged by fans

Bryce Dallas Howard’s second-hand ensemble was absolutely savaged by Golden Globes viewers when she took to the stage today.

Fashion is always a big talking point come any award show, and people are never shy in airing their opinions on how celebrities are dressed for the occasion.

On this particular occasion – the 2021 Golden Globes – fans let absolute rip on actress Bryce Dallas Howard’s sequin number, calling her everything from a “disco sausage” to a “potato”.

The Jurassic World actress, 39, presented the award for Best Director to Chloé Zhao for Nomadland, while wearing a sequin Temperley London dress that she bought on resale site The RealReal.

On Instagram, she expressed her love for “sustainable fashion”.

“As many of you know, I love the sustainability of consignment fashion and often find second-hand pieces for press,” Howard wrote on Instagram.

“Tonight’s ‘fit is a [Temperley London] sequin ombré dress (which matches my hair!) with magenta [Alexander McQueen] pumps from a press tour a few years ago.”

The same dress is currently going for on $2271 on Farfetch.

While the actress got a tonne of praise on her Instagram photos, it was a completely different story on Twitter.

In her Instagram post, the actress also revealed that she did her own hair and makeup for the awards show, and found some old shoes of her own to match the dress.

“And for hair and makeup, tonight seemed like the perfect night to put my own skills to the test – thank you @mrjasonlow and @vivianbaker for your incredible virtual direction!” she wrote in her Instagram caption.
