Best and worst fashions from the 2018 Golden Globes red carpet

BLACK is back, as the stars on the Golden Globes red carpet support the #metoo movement - but a handful didn’t get the memo.

Golden Globes Red Carpet: Activism is the new black

TODAY’S 2018 Golden Globes red carpet is a sea of black, with celebs using their outfits to send a message to protest against the rampant sexual harassment in the entertainment and other industries.

“We feel emboldened in this particular moment to stand together … in a thick black line,” said Meryl Streep of the collective fashion choice during a red carpet interview.

A slew of A-list actresses have formed the activist group, Time’s Up, and penned an open letter calling attention to harrassment and mistreatment of women across a variety of industries.

In the fashion stakes, black is often regarded as a safe red carpet option — but many stars still found ways to have fun and take risks within the self-imposed wardrobe stricture.
