Sarah Silverman stoned? Comedian pulls out “pot pen” during bizarre interview on Emmys red carpet

COMEDIAN gave a bizarre interview on the Emmys red carpet in which she obsessed over her boobs before pulling out her “pot” to show fans.

WAS Sarah Silverman stoned on the Emmys red carpet?

Several media outlets have suggested the comedian was “obviously in an altered state” after she confirmed her penchant for a little marijuana by pulling out her “pot pen” from her purse.

While others said she found a way to “tolerate” the Emmys, by “living the vape life”.

Either way, it’s been called the most entertaining red carpet interview ever.

E! red carpet host Guiliana Rancic was looking through her clutch when she exclaimed: “I can’t believe you’re letting me look in here.”

To which Silverman then decided it would be a good idea to pull out her vaporiser pen and announce: “This is my pot. My liquid pot”, she said.

“OK, moving on,” said Rancic, trying to shut the conversation down.

But the pot pen got more than one outing with Silverman keen to show it off during another televised red carpet interview.

When a second reporter asked what was in her clutch, the comedian replied: “Phone and pot ... And gum”.

To which the reporter replied: “Really? OK, so I was going to ask you what’s the one thing you have to bring to an awards show, but I think I know what that is now.”

Silverman then replied: “Well, I don’t drink, I’m a lightweight, so I have a puff here and there at the Governer’s Ball and what have you.”

The 43-year-old, who won the award for Outstanding Writing in a Variety Special, was clearly out of sorts, speaking slowly and loudly during the interview and seemed distracted to say the least.

Other highlights from Silverman’s rowdy chat with Rancic included:

* Her being completely distracted by the sight of her own boobs; “Oh look at my boobs!” she exclaimed when she saw them on camera, “this is the higher one!” When Rancic tried to reassure her fears about her misaligned boobs by saying they looked great, Silverman protested; “This one’s higher and this one’s lower, I don’t want to fight with you Guiliana.”

* Silverman then attributed this quote about her breasts to Maya Angelou. “They’re the lowest they’ve ever been and the highest they’re ever gonna be.”

* When Rancic asked her who she was wearing tonight she replied: “Marni, the character from Girls. Marni with an i, in case you don’t know fashion”.

* When she became confused by Rancic’s interviewing technique: “Why did you put the microphone in front of me, you didn't say a question, you’re just like hey ...”

* When she refused to do the mani-cam: “I don’t have a manicure. I’ve been on the road, I’ve been on the road, I’ve been on the road, these are WORKING HANDS.”

* When Rancic asked who made her clutch: “I don’t knoooooowwwwwwww. I’m sooooooooooooorryyyyy”, she wailed.

Silverman later accepted her Emmy for the HBO Comedy Special Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles by running like a mad woman up the stairs of the stage without shoes, before thanking her “Jews” and ending with the quote: “We’re all just made of molecules and we’re all hurling through space right now”.
