Jimmy Kimmel / Matt Damon feud hilariously reignites at Emmys
THE pair have had a hilarious feud running hot for well over a decade now — and it just blew up again, live on stage at the Emmys.
EMMYS host Jimmy Kimmel reignited his long-running joke feud with Hollywood A-lister Matt Damon today, with the pair trading hilarious barbs on the award ceremony’s stage.
This time, Damon seemed to come out on top, lazily chewing an apple as he taunted the host mere moments after he’d lost out on an Emmy for his TV show.

John Oliver took home the gong for best Variety Talk Series. Oliver’s win meant Jimmy Kimmel, who was nominated for his late night talk show, missed out. No time to wallow in your loss when you still have an award ceremony to host, though.
To kick the cringe up a notch, Damon interrupted Kimmel to rub his face in the loss.
“Oh, I’m sorry, this is so humiliating, I mean you lost and now you have to stand out here in front of everybody when you probably just want to go home, curl up and cry,” Damon said as he strolled on stage eating an apple.
“Can we cheer Jimmy up? He’s a big loser — a big round of applause. You’re a big loser, I for one am really sorry about that.”
As he walked off stage, the Jason Bourne star took one more jab at the host.
“Oh Jimmy — tell your mum I love dem apples.”
The pair have a longstanding joke feud, dating back for more than a decade.
If you’ve never seen an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! in the past 13 years, the host ends every episode with the same joke: “Our apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time”.
Right from the outset, the Good Will Hunting actor was a fan of the joke and got his publicist to call Kimmel to say, “Hey, that’s funny. Don’t stop doing that”.
In 2006 Damon finally appeared on the show, but after showing a montage of all the times he’s said “Our apologies to Matt Damon”, Kimmel revealed to the movie star that they’d run out of time ... again.
Proving what a great actor he is, Damon responded with a rather spectacular (fake) dummy spit.
One of the pair’s best segments was earlier this year was when Damon snuck onto Kimmel’s show by strapping himself to Ben Affleck, who was wearing a fat suit.
