Bryan Cranston makes out with Julia Louis-Dreyfus at Emmy Awards
JULIA Louis-Dreyfus got more than she bargained for when she accepted her Emmy award — a bristly kiss from Walter White himself.
JULIA Louis-Dreyfus winning Best Actress in a Comedy Series for HBO’s Veep was no surprise, but she was not prepared for this.
While making her way to the stage, Bryan Cranston and his bushy moustache leapt to his feet, grabbing Louis-Dreyfus and stealing a passionate smooch.
The steamy kiss lasted for several seconds and the pair had to be pulled apart by presenter Jimmy Fallon.
Seinfeld fans will recall that long before Cranston was Walter White on Breaking Bad, he played dentist Tim Whatley and dated Louis-Dreyfus’ character Elaine.
Not missing a beat after her prickly encounter, a flustered Louis-Dreyfus took the stage and simply said, “Yeah, he was on Seinfeld.”
The hilarious moment came after the pair presented on stage together and Louis-Dreyfus pretended not to remember Cranston’s several-episode stint on Seinfeld.
“I have to tell you, you look so much like the actor in Seinfeld who played the dentist that I dated as Elaine and who converted to Judaism for the jokes,” the 53-year-old star said.
After an awkward pause, Cranston added, “Tim Whatley.”
The Seinfeld reunion may just be the best moment to come from this year’s Emmys, but we wouldn’t expect any less from these two.
Louis-Dreyfus took home her fifth career Emmy this year, a third consecutive best actress in a comedy win for her role in Veep. She previously won Emmys for Seinfeld and The New Adventures of Old Christine.
