MAYIM Bialik didn’t get nominated for an Emmy for the first time in five years, but she isn’t too upset about it.

The Big Bang Theory actress wrote about her Emmys snub on her Grok Nation blog, explaining that there is an upside to not getting a nod.

“I’m not going to lie and say that I’m not disappointed, because I think most humans would be disappointed,” she wrote. “…However, ever-optimistic — or at least trying to be — I realised three great things about not being nominated.”

She wrote she is pleased to not need to worry about pre-Emmys dieting or about her wardrobe. Bialik also shared she is excited to enjoy the show as a spectator.

The actress suggested she might skip the awards show altogether this year.

“I can now watch the Emmy Awards, should I choose to, from the comfort of my couch,” she wrote.

She explained that it could be nice not to worry about getting glammed up for the Emmys.

“Don’t get me wrong; I am always incredibly honoured to attend awards shows even if I am not nominated, but since all of that getting fancied-up stuff isn’t really something that comes naturally to me, I can’t help but feel grateful about skipping it this year!”

Bialik plays Amy Farrah Fowler on the hit comedy.
