SHE might not have taken home any awards inside, but Amy Schumer won the Emmys with this hilarious response to a cliched question.

SHE may not have won any awards during the ceremony, but Amy Schumer still won the Emmys thanks to a hilarious, instantly memorable one-liner on the red carpet.

The comedian was being interviewed alongside her sister Kim Caramele by E! host Giuliana Rancic, who put to Schumer the stock-standard question asked of every woman at every televised awards ceremony the world over: “Who are you wearing?”

Inside, Schumer participated in another hilarious skit as she read out a note purportedly penned for her by host Jimmy Kimmel’s mother. It started well, with Mrs Kimmel professing that she thought Schumer should be hosting the show instead of her son — but the note came with a sting in the tail:
