All the best looks from the 2024 Emmy Awards red carpet

After a lengthy delay, TV’s biggest stars have gathered for the Emmys – and one beloved star brought something very weird with her.

After a four-month delay, TV’s biggest night has finally returned.

The 75th annual Emmy Awards – originally scheduled for last September but postponed due to the Hollywood strikes – is now underway at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theatre.

Wildly popular comedy-drama shows Succession and The White Lotus are expected to clean up at this year’s ceremony after receiving a huge 14 and 12 acting nominations, respectively.

Ted Lasso and The Last of Us are also popular contenders.

But before any of that, it was all about the fashion, as stars began flocking to the red (OK, in this case it’s grey) carpet.

Aubrey Plaza joined the cast of Lotus in season two and quickly became a fan favourite, so it’s no surprise she’s nominated in the Supporting Actress category.

What is a surprise was this outfit, which was somehow a dress... but also a Post-It with a giant pin in it?

(Spare a thought for whoever was sitting on her right during the ceremony).

Only Murders In The Building star Selena Gomez turned plenty of heads in a sheer, fitted gown, covered in sequinned, leafy embellishments:

Aussie actress Elizabeth Debicki has already scooped up a Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Award in recent days for her critically-acclaimed portrayal of Princess Diana in The Crown, and is also favourite to win the Supporting Actress Emmy.

Her fellow Aussie - and fellow awards season darling - Sarah Snook is also a frontrunner to win Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her star turn in Succession.

Joy Sunday – better known as Bianca in Netflix’s smash hit series, Wednesday – did nothing to quash my deep fear that the dress-over-pants trend of my early teens is making a comeback:
