GINGER and Smart probably never expected to see their cocktail wares on an Oscars red carpet, but they have now thanks to Mel Doyle.

Championing the Aussie brand, Channel 7’s leading lady opted for a bright red floor length dress by the designer for her Oscars appearance in Los Angeles today.

Doyle shared a candid snap of herself with a full set of roller’s in her hair on her Instagram site, and while fellow seven reporter Angela Cox tweeted a picture of the two, describing Doyle as “a bloody knockout”.

“Having spent an hour getting my hair done this morning, the rain isn’t great,” Doyle told the Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies and James Tobin.

The big name stars are set to hit the Dolby Theatre’s red carpet within the hour.
