Cate Blanchett gets Oscars tattoo with Amy Adams

WHAT do you do if you’ve just won your second Oscar? If you’re Cate Blanchett, you head out with Amy Adams for a celebratory tattoo.

CATE Blanchett’s antics following her big win for Best Actress at this year’s Oscars continue with latest reports suggesting she got a tattoo.

The Aussie actress was snapped by photographers hanging out in the popular Shamrock Social Club tattoo parlour in West Hollywood and left with a curious black cuff around her wrist.

When news.com.au called the tattoo parlour they were unable to confirm whether Blanchett did indeed get a tattoo but the Shamrock Social is a favourite haunt of celebs with One Direction and singer Ed Sheeran getting inked there.

Fellow actress Amy Adams, who Blanchett gushed over in her Oscars acceptance speech, and her fiance Darren Le Gallo accompanied Blanchett to the parlour. Gallo was seen leaving with a bandage but it’s unknown whether Adams got inked.

Blanchett and Adams have never been in a film together but the two appear to be firm friends.

Some in the industry have speculated that they have bonded over the loss of their good friend Philip Seymour Hoffman who died earlier this year from a mix of toxic drugs.

Blanchett’s fun-loving Oscars behaviour has earned her a place in the hearts of many by showing that she’s just a gal after a good time. How?

Let’s recap:

• Blanchett admits she almost missed accepting her award because she was in the bar with Julia Roberts. She then told her drinking pal to “suck it” when she accepted her award.

• Riding high after her big victory, Blanchett dropped the F-bomb during a live press conference on CNN. An Australian journalist pointed out that she was the first Aussie actor to win two Academy Awards. The Oscar winner wryly responded, “And don’t you f-----g forget it.”

• She admitted to Ellen on her talk show the next day that she slept next to two men on Oscars night - her husband and her Oscar statue. “It’s the closest that my husband and I have ever come to a threesome,” she said.

• Blanchett is seen at tattoo parlour Shamrock Social and leaves wearing a black band around her wrist.
