Aussie couple mingle with the stars at Victoria's Secret party in New York
A COUPLE of Aussies who scored a random invite to the Victoria's Secret after party have revealed what really goes on inside the star studded bash.
THE Victoria's Secret after party at Tao nightclub in New York was filled with supermodels, celebrities, famous athletes and randomly, an Aussie couple from Melbourne who were holidaying in the big apple.
Speaking exclusively to news.com.au, the man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he was offered two last minute tickets as he and his girlfriend sat upstairs at a bar in the same venue as the sexy soiree.
"These two glamours walked up to me when the party had been going for half an hour, and they said 'do you want to go into the party?' the man said.
"And I said 'yeah of course.' Then they said 'how much will you pay for the tickets?' And I said 'oh come on, I'll buy you a drink.' And they said 'no no these are worth a lot of money.' So I said 'nah I'm not paying, I've come all the way from Australia, and I'm a big fan of Victoria's Secret.' They ended up giving me the tickets, maybe because they felt sorry for me."
He took the valuable tickets and was instantly blown away by the "out of this world" atmosphere inside the party.
"There was a massive dance floor and it was a good looking crowd from top to bottom," he said.
"As you walked around you just kept seeing faces you recognised."
The event was a star studded affair, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Fall Out Boy, Ciara, Dylan McDermott and Stephen Dorff just some of the celebrities in attendance.
But the guests of honour were undoubtedly the angels, who mingled freely with the crowd.
"It was extraordinary how tall and glamorous they (the Victoria's Secret Angels) were and they were all lovely," he said.
"They were happy to have photos and they were all really nice to talk to. They were all intrigued by the Aussie accent and they all wanted to know where I was from. Only one of the models refused to be photographed but she was really nice about it. She said it was too late for photos because it was about two in the morning. But she blew me an angel kiss so instead of a photo I've got the memory of an angel kiss."
Some women might feel threatened by the sight of their partner mingling with supermodels, but that wasn't the case with his understanding girlfriend.
"She loved it," he said.
"And as she said, 'as a woman I can sit there and appreciate how freakishly good looking these ladies are.'"
The Aussie couple also managed to sneak into the after after party at the Jane Hotel before they called it a night, or morning, at 3am.
They'll return to Australia soon with one hell of a story to tell to their friends.
"As they say, New York is the concrete jungle where dreams are made of," he said jokingly.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Parade will be shown in Australia on Fox 8 soon after it airs on December 10 in the US.
