Only a couple of weeks into the new year, and already we have the first major drop of new smartphones, courtesy of Samsung. Enter: the Samsung Galaxy S21 range.

Shoppers can expect to choose from three variants of the Galaxy S21 range - the S21, S21+ and Ultra. We break down the differences between the three below, and let you know where you can pre-order your chosen model.
WHAT ARE THE STANDOUT FEATURES OF THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S21 AND S21+?
Samsung’s latest (and greatest) offering sees the tech brand deliver a powerful smart phone with a processor that’s 20 per cent fast than 2020’s S20 series. In terms of size, the phone is also available in the standard S21 (15.7cm diagonal) and larger S21+ (17cm diagonal) model and both come with a crystal clear OLED display.
Other upgrades also include a super responsive and quick ‘Ultrasonic Fingerprint’ reader and a minimum 4,000mAh battery on the Galaxy S21 model which means your phone battery should last well over a day.
A new AI-powered ‘eye comfort shield’ will be a welcome feature to those of us who spend all day looking at screens - as the day progresses, the amount of blue light emitted will be lessened, hopefully making it easier for us to fall asleep at night.
The S21 and S21+ phone also packs a mighty camera in the small device. Users get a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP influencer-approved selfie camera, 64MP telephoto camera, with a 30x Space Zoom feature so all your photos look crisp and perfect.
You can also have peace of mind and know your phone rates has a dust and liquid resistance of IP68. This means it’s protected against rain, dust, dirt and sand and is resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of 1.5m for up to thirty minutes. Just keep in mind that water or dust damage isn’t covered by warranty.
WHAT ARE THE STANDOUT FEATURES OF THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S21 ULTRA?
Apart from its larger size (17.2cm diagonal), Samsung fans will enjoy the fact that this model has storage for the S Pen stylus. Previously this was only available on the Galaxy Note 20 and Samsung tablet lines.
Compared to the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ models, the camera on the Galaxy S21 Ultra has also had an upgrade. It’s comes with a huge 108MP wide-angled camera, 40MP selfie camera, a 100x Space Zoom and an additional two telephoto cameras which has gotten tech heads really excited. The two 10-megapixel telephoto cameras have a 3x and 10x optical zoom, for extra clarity and performance when taking photos.
The upgraded ‘Ultra’ model also comes in two storage sizes: a 128GB and 256GB model.

HOW MUCH DOES THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S21, S21+ AND S21 ULTRA COST?
Pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S21 starts at $1,249, while the Samsung Galaxy S21+ is priced from $1,549. Those who are hoping to get their hands on the Galaxy S21 Ultra can expect to pay $1,849 for the base model 128GB variant.

Customers who pre-order with Samsung will receive a gift with purchase, subject to availability. Those who buy the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G will receive a free pair of the Galaxy Buds Pro wireless earphones (RRP $319), while pre-orders of the Galaxy S21+ 5G and Galaxy S21 5G models will get a pair of the Galaxy Buds Live (RRP $339). This offer also seems to be available at most retailers as well.
Those who order via Samsung.com also have access to exclusive colours for the Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra models.
