Amazon Prime Day 2023: Best Nintendo Switch deals

Ever since its release, the Nintendo Switch has been a hot ticket item for novices and experienced gamers alike – which is why bagging a major discount on one is as rare as catching a shooting star in Animal Crossing.

With Amazon’s massive Prime Day sale running until midnight tonight (July 12), however, you can now bag consoles, games and accessories at significantly reduced prices.

For instance, right now gamers can score $120.95 off the original Nintendo Switch Console in Grey ($349, down from $469.95) that Amazon reviewers said “paid for itself in fun”. Unlike the Neon console (also on sale for $399), the grey edition is hard to come by, making now a great time to snap one up.

There’s also $90.95 off the Nintendo Switch OLED Model Console ($449, down from $539.95), $35 off The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild ($54.95, down from $89.95), $20.95 off Kirby and the Forgotten Land ($59, down from $79.95) and $20.95 off The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ($69, down from $89.95).

WHEN IS AMAZON PRIME DAY?

This year, Amazon Prime Day kicks off on Tuesday, July 11 at 12.01am AEST and wraps up on Wednesday, July 12 at 11.59pm AEST.

Shoppers will also be able to access special deals from Germany, Japan, the UK and the US through the Amazon Global Store until 5.00pm AEST on Thursday, July 13.

WHAT IS AMAZON PRIME DAY?

Amazon Prime Day is an annual shopping event run exclusively for Amazon Prime members.

Both local and international deals are offered through the Amazon Australia site, with international deals typically kicking off once the Australian sale has ended.

Contrary to its name, Prime Day actually runs for 48-hours, giving members plenty of opportunity to snap up discounts on everything from fashion and tech to home appliances and groceries.
