Amazon Prime Day is finally here, bringing with it a symphony of unbeatable AirPods deals.

Whether you’ve had your eye on the premium AirPods Max, or have been holding out for a price drop on the AirPods (2nd Gen), the sales event has seen prices slashed across Apple’s headphone range.

To ensure you don’t miss a beat, we’ve rounded up all the best offers, including $124 off Apple AirPods Max in Space Grey ($774.99, down from $899) and $60 off Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Gen ($339, down from $399).

There’s also plenty more deals on AirPods, Beats and other top headphone brands for you to check out below, but keep in mind that the sale ends at midnight tonight (July 12).

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AIRPODS MODELS?

Over the years, Apple has expanded its line to include several different AirPods models. Currently, you can choose between the AirPods (2nd Gen) with either a standard or wireless charging case, the AirPods (3rd Gen), AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) or the AirPods Max.

The AirPods (2nd Gen) are the standard option from the range and arrive with a universal design, hands-free voice assistance from Siri and around five hours of battery life (or up to more than 24-hours with either charging case). A pair with the regular charging case will usually set you back $219, while a pair with the wireless charging case (which can be charged with a compatible wireless charging pad) are priced at $319.

The AirPods (3rd Gen) are a nice step up from the (2nd Gen) model, offering a contoured design for a better fit, a wireless charging case and six hours of battery life (or up to 30-hours with the charging case). The buds are priced at $289, making them even cheaper than the 2nd Gen model (with wireless charging case), so they’re well worth the upgrade.

The AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) are the premium in-ear buds from Apple’s range, usually retailing for $399. They comes with better audio capabilities and double the noise cancellation power of the original Pro buds; and arrive with more ear tips and up to six hours of listening time (or up to 30 hours with the charging case).

The AirPods Max are the first over-ear headphones from the AirPods range and are currently some of the best over-ear headphones on the market. Similar to the AirPods Pro, the AirPods Max also feature a Transparency Mode, which allows you to hear what’s happening around you. According to Apple, the pair boast up to 20 hours of listening time off a single charge too, making them a great travel companion.

WHEN IS AMAZON PRIME DAY?

Amazon Prime Day 2023 will run for 48 hours from 00:01AM AEST July 11, until 11:59PM AEST on July 12. Shoppers will also be able to access special deals from Germany, Japan, UK and US through the Amazon Global Store until 5pm AEST on 13 July.

WHAT IS AMAZON PRIME DAY?

Amazon Prime Day is an annual shopping event run exclusively for Amazon Prime members.

Both local and international deals are offered through the Amazon Australia site, with international deals typically kicking off once the Australian sale has ended.

Contrary to its name, Prime Day actually runs for 48-hours, giving members plenty of opportunity to snap up discounts on everything from fashion and tech to home appliances and groceries.
