Founded in 2014, Afterpay is an Australian digital payment platform that allows you to pay for your purchase in instalments.

Afterpay is a type of ‘buy now, pay later’ service that gives you the ability to buy something immediately and pay it in four instalments over six weeks.

While it’s still a source of credit, you don’t have to pay interest, which is why it’s so attractive to use among online shoppers. In Australia alone, Afterpay has 3.3 million customers, with 6.2 million customers spanning the globe.

The platform also sends you reminders so you’ll never miss a payment, plus you don’t have to pay a thing to sign up – there’s no establishment fees and no monthly account fees.
