Whether you’re a foodie, a fan of nature or perhaps simply in need of a city escape this is a holiday at home you will never forget.

One Day Kangaroo Island Experience from Adelaide

Kangaroo Island is only 155 km long but it is packed with enough things to see and do to keep you busy for days.

But if you are tight for time, you don’t have to miss out on this unique island.

This day trip enables guests to see the highlights of South Australia’s premier nature-based tourism destination. With its picture-perfect beaches, stunning greenery, and hundreds of species of native wildlife, Kangaroo Island is unique.

A bus will pick you up outside your CBD hotel for the journey down the Fleurieu Peninsula, to Cape Jervis for the ferry journey across to Kangaroo Island.

The 45 minute trip across the Backstairs Passage lands you at the town of Penneshaw, where the ferry docks.

Once on the island enjoy a guided walk on the beach among a colony of rare and wild Australian sea lions with a National Parks Ranger at Seal Bay Conservation Park. Then, enjoy lunch at Vivonne Bay Bistro, set in beautiful bushland.

Spend part of the afternoon in the Flinders Chase National Park before your final activity of the day which is a visit to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to feed some kangaroos and get up close to koalas before returning to Penneshaw for your return ferry and coach transfer back to Adelaide.
