With its crystal clear, turquoise water, blinding white sand and reefs teeming with wildlife, it should come as no surprise that many regard the Whitsundays as one of the most beautiful spots in the world.

The Whitsundays, known as the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, sits around 1100km north of Brisbane and 650km south of Cairns in the north of Queensland.

Thanks to its tropical climate, the Whitsundays is warm all year round with the peak season kicking off in September, when the weather is hot but the humidity is low.
