With just a click of a button, you can get everything from the $10 earrings that are an “exact dupe” of the Bottega Veneta Drop Earrings that retail for upwards of $1000 to a Kindle because you promised yourself you’re going to read more from now on. We love the convenience.

But when you shop for a living (yes, sorry we know our jobs are … hard), it takes something truly amazing to wow us. Look, when you spend your work days sifting through thousands of reviews and testing the latest serums or air fryers, you tend to become picky. Only the best will do!

So when we find something we love, we want to shout about it. And that’s what we’re doing here.

From accessories to tech buys, here’s what the news.com.au checkout team has been loving lately and why we simply can’t live without it.

“I’m calling it, these earrings are a straight-up dupe for the popular Bottega Veneta pair that retail for upwards of $1000. I spent a mere $20 for two pairs – one gold and one silver – and as soon as I wore the gold pair, I got so many compliments from my family and friends. They’re also super lightweight and comfortable for all day wear. Even my grandmother asked if I can buy her a pair … just need to teach her how to use Amazon. I’m obsessed!” – Marina Tatas, Shopping Writer

“I’m a side sleeper and I would always wake up in the morning with back pain from twisting in my sleep. I tried this knee pillow, and it’s helped a lot. It has a strap that secures it to your leg so it doesn’t slide around during the night, and it’s memory foam so it’s super comfortable. And for $19, it’s cheap and is going to save me from hefty chiro bills in the future.” – Mike Cook, SEO eCommerce Director

“When it comes to lip colour, I tend to favour pretty boring nudes or light pinks so trialling this deep plum tint was definitely out of my comfort zone. But I was happily surprised by how much I loved it and how well it suited my lips and skintone. I received so many compliments on it too which always makes a girl feel good about her new ‘daring’ makeup choice. I also appreciated how buildable it was. You can have it fairly sheer or add a few more layers for a deeper colour too.” – Philippa Tonkin, Shopping Writer

PALMER'S Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Facial Cleansing Oil. Picture: Harriet Amurao/Supplied

“This cleansing oil is my absolute favourite way to take off my makeup now especially as someone with dry skin. It’s a super lightweight and water soluble oil that gently melts and removes my makeup without leaving my skin feeling super tight and dry. It’s formulated with grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, rosehip oil, cocoa butter and vitamin C, and leaves my skin feeling smooth, supple and clean after use. It also has a subtle scent which I personally don’t mind. While it does remove my face makeup effortlessly, it does take a bit of work to remove my mascara (I gently run my finger over my lashline to melt the product) but it doesn’t hurt my eyes at all. I truly recommend this one if you’re looking for a gentle oil cleanser.” – Harriet Amurao, Shopping Writer

“Applying this cuticle oil is an everyday luxury for me. I have a bad habit of picking at the skin around my fingers, so I snapped this product up in hopes to help with that and I truly think it has. It’s lightweight, smells of apricots, super moisturising, doesn’t leave an oily finish and doesn’t stain my cuticles or skin – need I say more? I’ve found that it strengthened my nails, helped them grow and has stopped me from picking at my skin. I apply it before bed, massage it in and voila!” – Harriet Amurao, Shopping Writer

JS Health Pure Matcha+ (45 serves), $24.99 at JS Health

“I’ve been an avid matcha drinker for years now and I’ve tried a lot of brands to make my own perfect matcha latte at home. I’ve repurchased this powder from JS Health many, many times. I love that the pure matcha powder is 100 per cent organic, and I believe is reasonably priced at $25 for 45 serves. It works out that each matcha latte you make at home costs you about $1.80 (plus of course your milk and sweetener of choice) which is SO much cheaper than the over $6 I pay each time at a cafe. Girl math!” – Marina Tatas, Shopping Writer

“I’ve been a Bonds girl from way back (yes I am a millennial) but I thought it might be best to branch out and try some different brands to see what I’ve been missing out on and I can’t recommend the Step One seam free range enough. I didn’t realise Step One made underwear for women (I know men rave about their anti-chafe boxer briefs) but they do and they are great. The Seam Free undies are made of a buttery soft fabric that’s stretchy but also breathable. They don’t dig in or ride up, which is surprising considering most of the seam free underwear I have tends to ride up. They’re just super comfortable underwear. The range comes in full brief, bikini brief and thong and an array of fun colours as well as your neutrals. On the inside waistband, it reads ‘hello again!’ which is just a cute lil touch!” – Melody Teh, Deputy Editor news.com.au checkout

“I have had SIR. on my lust list for so long and when I saw this dress that HAS POCKETS on sale I snatched it up so fast. Usually I take some time before I purchase something until I find a moment ‘worth’ wearing it to, but in this case I dressed myself up the very next night and the amount of confidence I felt was unparalleled. It’s perfectly designed for a long lunch with the girls or an evening soiree when the sun sets during the summer.” – Kriti Gupta, eCommerce Social Media Lead
