I have been using this monitor every day for four months since the arrival of my son and have found that while some features may not be considered ‘essential’, they absolutely deliver priceless peace of mind.
The playback feature has been the most helpful as a first-time parent, as it allows you to view monitor footage for up to three days (previously 18 hours in older models). My husband and I use this to track wake windows (we can pinpoint the moment he rouses, even in those hazy wee hours of the morning) and scrutinise baby’s cues. While I initially thought this was a ‘nice to have feature,’ I can’t imagine using a monitor without it.
