At just 34 years old, Aussie entrepreneur Michelle Battersby has already launched Bumble in Australia, founded her own company (Sunroom) and become president of one of the fastest growing apps for mothers (Peanut).
Now based in LA, Michelle has had her fair share of celebrity run-ins. Including the time she rejected the future Mr Taylor Swift.
“A few years ago I was at a concert, when this guy came up to me and started hitting on me but there’s only so long you can chat to a random dude who looks like he might be someone,” she told news.com.au checkout.
“The way he spoke was so weird and I just kind of palmed him off. And then a few months later he (Travis Kelce) was dating Taylor Swift and I’m like, (joking) ‘okay, that can be my claim’.”
The tech entrepreneur also had an insane encounter with Kanye West recently, where the rapper only wanted to talk about one specific item in her hands.
“I was at dinner and Ye (Kanye) was there. He was very shy and introverted and he was asking me about my Octabuddy, the sticky thing on the back of my phone. That’s what he was most interested in.”
Here Michelle reveals all, from must-have mum products to the biggest mistake men make on dating apps.
“We did some research and as a dude, you are more likely to get a match if you have a puppy in one of your photos. So grab a puppy and get rid of the fish photos and mirror selfies,” she said.
