Like many of us, Kate Middleton has pivoted during the coronavirus pandemic to working from home. While the Duchess of Cambridge is well-known for her love of mixing up her designer wardrobe (and tiara or two) with more affordable items, her latest public appearances, mainly via video calls, have highlighted her eye for a savvy fashion buy.
So when she led an online assembly for the Oak National Academy about the importance of mental health for children recently, there were plenty of fans wanting to know about the pretty cabbage print dress she was wearing.

While her favourite designers include the likes of Emilia Wickstead and Erdem, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a Marks & Spencer $85 dress for the appearance. According to the English brand, the Printed Yoke Midi Waisted Dress takes “style inspiration from country gardens”, and you can buy it here.

With delicately puffed sleeves, a subtle frill and a cinched elasticated waist, it’s no wonder the dress is now selling at pace.
It’s not the first time the Duchess has worn Marks & Spencer, regularly opting to supplement her designer wardrobe with the high street stalwart. In March she wore the brand’s dusty pink Wool Blend Double Breasted Blazer (you can buy a similar option here) and Wool Blend Slim Leg Cropped Trousers (you can buy a similar option here) to speak with the Chief Executive of the London Ambulance Service.
In February, she pulled on a pair of Marks & Spencer’s Ribbon Detail Lace Up Trainers at a SportsAid event in London (you can buy a similar pair here).
Well, if it’s good enough for Kate.
