Brown water that 'smells like faeces' leaks from burst pipes in Chicago office

SPARE a thought for the workers of this poor advertising agency. Freezing temperatures have caused their pipes to burst, and they're leaking the worst thing they could possibly leak.

ONE poor office has fallen victim to a literal sh*t storm.

In Chicago temperatures have hit -41 degrees Celsius. This kind of weather causes pipes to burst.

In the office of advertising agency Arc Worldwide, situated on the 15th floor of the Leo Burnett Building, pipes burst and started leaking brown water that smells like faeces. Allegedly.

Arc Worldwide's art director Kasey Moore posted a video on Instagram with the caption "So … This is happening on my floor at work. Poo eruption."

The video has since been deleted, but not before it was captured and uploaded to YouTube.

Brian McGannon, a writer at Post Grab Problems, spoke to a source who works on the 6th floor of the building. They told him:

"As far as we know (I sit on the 6th floor and have friends on 14, where it's begun to leak down from the 15th floor, where it originated) a pipe burst and all signs are pointing to poop water, but that has yet to be confirmed for us. No mass emails have been sent out at this point to the company, but those on 15 have taken refuge to other floors or gone home. My source on the 14th floor has said that while the water smells of faeces, there is talk of just rust." News_Image_File: "Just dust".

The source confirmed that Leo Burnett told employees the brown fluid was just dust and water.

Leo Burnett also denied the "poo eruption" in an email to Business Insider.

"While we appreciate the creativity, rest assured that it's only dust and water," a spokesperson said.
