Scottish National Party leader Nicola Sturgeon said Saturday the devolved parliament would undoubtedly have a majority of members who back independence from the United Kingdom following elections.
"It looks as if it is beyond any doubt that there will be a pro-independence majority in the Scottish parliament," Sturgeon told Sky News as the SNP appeared likely to fall just short of an outright majority after Thursday's vote. The Scottish Greens party also backs independence.
