A Melbourne tattoo artist is offering discounted Matildas tattoos ahead of their Women’s World Cup semi-final clash with England.
Following Saturday’s quarter-final win over France in a tense game that came down to penalties, Melbourne’s Chloe Jane says she’s been having one of her busiest work weeks ever as she offers fans some sporting body art.
“I booked out within 24 hours,” Ms Jane, who runs Brunswick’s Ratu Tattoo, told Nine.
“It usually takes me a few days to book out,” she said, with bookings for at least 17 Matildas-related tattoos in coming days.
That’s in addition to her regular bookings.
“I normally do two to three (tattoos) a day – I’m doing seven on Sunday.”
She’s posted a flash sheet with a range of different designs related to Australia’s national women’s soccer team on Ratu Tattoo’s Instagram page.
“Everyone wants the jersey,” she told Nine, referring to the design of the Matildas’ home game kit.
Ms Jane is also “stoked” someone wanted her design based on goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold.

Arnold’s goalkeeping prowess helped Australia fend off France in both Saturday’s quarter-final game and the resulting penalty shootout.
Fans have taken to social media to express their dismay at being unable to pick up Arnold’s black or purple goalie’s kit from Nike, which doesn’t manufacture the jerseys.
Ms Jane has also offered any of the Matildas players free tattoos, but the team is yet to take her up on the offer.
