People blame bots for a lot of annoying stuff that happens on the internet - bots that sneak past filters, Twitterbot followers or even bots that spurt out weird gibberish over social media sites and messaging services.
Security and cloud service provider Incapsula analysed 1.45 billion page views from 20,000 sites over 90 days, and found that bot traffic was up by 21% compared to their previous report from 2012, bringing the total of total bot website traffic to 61.5%.
