What happens if you test positive on landing? 

According to Smartraveller, if you or someone in your travelling party tests positive, you should isolate immediately and contact the local health authority.

What if the day five test in Thailand comes back positive?

Vaccinated travellers must do a rapid antigen test on day five. If positive, travellers need to enter a suitable hotel, or if needed, a hospital. Your insurance must cover the cost.

Can I show my own RAT results when I  get back into Australia?

No, just showing a RAT test result will not suffice. A test must be done by or under the supervision of an authorised person at an airport-based testing station.

What if my test result to fly home to Australia is positive?

Be prepared for a longer stay. If you or a primary close contact tests positive, you won’t be allowed to travel to Australia until you have recovered, the Department of Home Affairs says.
