Rory McIlroy delivered a classy performance following world No.1 Scottie Scheffler’s implosion in the final round of the Tour Championship.
McIlroy, who started the final round six shots behind Scheffler clinched the $A26.1 million top prize.

Scheffler made three bogies on the front nine and another at the 16th, while McIlroy peeled off four birdies on the front nine, and two more on the back nine.

Following his triumphant win, McIlroy would show true class apologising to Scheffler's family after his victory.
