However that may change with Albanese suggesting the mandatory seven-day isolation period for a positive Covid test will be slashed to just five days.
Albanese attended the Rabbitohs’ game against North Queensland on Saturday night when the news of Cook’s positive Covid test was received.
If the isolation period changes to five-days, Cook would be eligible to play in the grudge match.
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet also made a public call for the isolation period for people infected with Covid to be reduced to five days
