How much money Victorian pollies take home

Victorian politicians have reason to smile from July 1 when their new 2.75 per cent pay rises kick in.
This is what the Premier and MPs will be earning this next financial year.
The salary of Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews will increase to $464,918, including up to $58,435 in expenses and allowances. It makes him the highest paid state leader in Australia.
Recently sworn-in deputy leader Jacinta Allen will also take home a hefty income, earning almost $400,000 for her duties.
New speaker of the lower house Maree Edwards and president of the upper house Nazih Elasmar will get ­almost $150,000 extra.
Ministers will now earn more than $370,000, including allowances, while cabinet secretaries will earn an extra $80,000 on top of their base MP salaries.
Each of the 128 Victorian MPs will receive ­annual incomes of more than $192,000 – about a $5000 ­increase on 2021-22.
Opposition Leader Matthew Guy will earn the same amount of money as a government minister — about $370,000.
The money increase comes after state politicians received pay rises in June 2021 when many small businesses had to shut their doors due to harsh restrictions imposed during the pandemic.
Most MPs last year publicly pledged to donate their increases to charity but Premier Andrews refused to say if he planned to give away this raise.

Opposition Leader Mr Guy also refused to explicitly say whether he will donate his upcoming pay rise to charity.
