A student from a Catholic secondary school has been expelled after producing explicit images of a female teacher using artificial intelligence.

The Herald Sun can reveal a 15-year-old from Catholic boys’ school Salesian College in Chadstone was expelled after he created the graphic images using an AI app last month.

In a statement, the school said it had investigated the matter and made the steps to immediately remove the student.

The school said it continued to support the teacher involved and had received no complaints from parents regarding the incident.

However, several parents told the Herald Sun they were angered by the student’s actions.

“It’s very upsetting that this has occurred and we feel for the teacher involved,” one parent said.

Another parent voiced concerns about the use of AI in these circumstances, describing the technology as “evil”

It comes just days after leading consent campaigner Chanel Contos called for high school students around the country to undertake porn literacy classes, saying the rates of young teens accessing explicit material had become a “public health issue”.

Ms Contos said school leaders talking about the dangers of pornography to pupils was the “next step” for secondary classrooms.

In February, explicit private videos and photos of underage school students were found to be published on a series of social media pages in an illegal online scourge that is running rampant among teens.

More than 100 graphic videos and photos of students from state and private schools had been shared on several Instagram accounts without students’ permission.

Students last year were caught posting doctored pornographic images of teachers on social media and filming classroom altercations amid an escalation of hatred towards educators.

An online forum showed a discussion between Australian teachers expressing frustration and disbelief about the way they are treated by students.

Police have been called into schools and students as young as year seven suspended after fake explicit images of teachers have been shared online.

Students have also posted incriminating classroom videos showing teachers raising their voices while disciplining students.
