Woman charged with murder over fire death

A man has died after being found with serious burns in a Geelong suburb, with police charging a woman with murder after his death.

A woman has been charged with murder after a seriously burnt man died.

Police were called to an address on Boundary Rd in Whittington, in Geelong, about 8.30pm on Saturday.

A 36-year-old Whittington man was found with severe burns.

He was taken to hospital but died the next day.

Detectives from the arson and explosives squad have charged a 33-year-old Whittington woman with his murder.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on January 28.
