Tight squeeze: Driver escapes uninjured after car plummets off multi-level carpark and into wall

A four-wheel-drive ended in a tight spot after toppling off the edge of a multi-level carpark in Melbourne on Wednesday night.

A four-wheel-drive ended in a tight spot after toppling off the edge of a multi-level carpark in Melbourne on Wednesday night.

The vehicle ploughed through a safety barrier and into a wall one storey below.

The driver, a 46-year-old man, escaped uninjured.

The mishap occurred about 8pm at a residential parking block on Queens Rd.

Emergency crews arrived to find the vehicle wedged between the first floor and ground floor.

Police said they believed the driver had confused the accelerator and brake.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Firefighters and SES were also called to the scene to assist in the rescue.
