Teenager bravely fights off sex predator during CBD laneway attack
A woman has managed to fight off a man who randomly attacked her in a CBD laneway in the early hours of Monday morning. Now police have released CCTV of a man they wish to speak to.

A teenager fought off a sex predator who attacked her at random in a city laneway.
The 19-year-old was walking east through the laneway between Swanston and Russell streets when the male stranger began to follow her about 12.48am on Monday, June 1.
Police say he grabbed and sexually assaulted her during a short scuffle.
The teen managed to fight him off and run away before she was physically injured.
CCTV footage released by police shows the predator walking a metre’s distance from the woman as she quickly paced through the deserted laneway holding a shopping bag.
The man is caucasian with a medium build and a brown beard.
He was wearing a black flat peak cap, black hooded jumper with grey sleeves, black pants, runners and was carrying a blue bottle at the time of the offence.
The attack is being investigated by detectives from the Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team.
