Adrian Bayley’s mum blasts law that would gag victims’ families
The mother of evil murderer Adrian Bayley says she is furious at an “absolutely ludicrous law” that would ban his victims’ names from ever being shared in public again.

The mother of murderer Adrian Bayley has issued an emotional plea to the government to scrap a proposed gag order.
Calling into 3AW talkback, a woman who claimed to be the mother of Adrian Bayley, expressed her anger over the proposed legislation - saying it was “ridiculous”.
“We need to hear their voices,” Bayley’s mother, who wished to not be named said.
“We need to listen to these voices, to the victim’s voices. Just because they are not with us doesn’t mean they aren’t less important.
“I’m just so emotional about this stupid and absolutely ludicrous law.
“I’m a mother of one of the perpetrators. Why on god’s earth would they prevent these poor innocent girls’ names from being used. Why?
“Every time I hear of these girls, who my son harmed… I don’t want her voice stolen.
“It breaks my heart. When I see her (Jill Meagher’s) picture, my heart breaks. Why should her voice not be heard. This is just ridiculous.”
The woman revealed she reported concerns before Jill Meagher’s murder to authorities but said no one listened.
“I went high and I told them I had concerns and no body listened to me,” the woman alleged.
“His parole officer didn’t listen to me.”
When asked by Neil Mitchell how she was doing she responded: “I have my days”.
“I’ve had a lot of counselling, I’ve gone through a lot over the years but this isn’t about me. This is about these poor girls and their families.”
