PSO charged: Officer involved in alleged incidents in Sunshine and Melton
A protective service officer will front court after allegedly assaulting people in two incidents in Sunshine and Melton.

A protective service officer has been charged with assault while on duty.
The officer is accused of being involved in two separate violent altercations — one in
Melton in October last year and another in Sunshine in December last year.
The officer was on duty during both alleged incidents.
An internal investigation led to the officer being charged with three counts of unlawful assault and one charge of recklessly cause injury.
The officer is due to appear at Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on June 16, 2021.
