Police swarm Narre Warren street near Fountain Gate

A large number of police officers are at a suburban Narre Warren street close to Westfield Fountain Gate, swarming the scene this morning.

A large police incident is underway in Melbourne’s southeast after a man started behaving erratically and barricaded himself inside a suburban home.

Witnesses are reporting a significant number of police in Heyington Circle in Narre Warren, with armoured Critical Incident Response Team officers at the scene.

Paramedics are on standby, and the Herald Sun understands the incident is mental health-related.
