Police rush to stabbing at Pakenham abattoir
A Pakenham abattoir has become the scene of a violent crime, with a suspected stabbing allegedly taking place on site and the victim being rushed to hospital.

A Melbourne abattoir has become a crime scene after a man was stabbed during a car park fight.
Police are currently at the scene at G & K O’Connor on Kooweerup Rd in Pakenham.
It is understood two men were fighting in the carpark when one stabbed the other about 4.15pm on Thursday.
The victim, aged in his 30s, was found by police with non-life threatening wounds to his torso.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said he was taken to the Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.
A man was arrested at the scene and is assisting police with their investigation.
A witness told the Herald Sun he saw several police cars race to the scene of the crime.
G & K O’Connor would not comment about the incident except to say that staff were “all good”.
SES workers are assisting police at the scene.
G & K O’Connor is considered one of Victoria’s leading beef exporters.
Witness and worker Vanderlei, who assisted the victim at the scene, told Leader an argument had broken out, which led to the stabbing.
“They had an argument and one of them then stabbed the other.
“I was really calm about it and assisted the victim, I just stayed and helped the police at the scene,” he said.
