Pervert prankster used mother’s phone to harass 120 women
A Melbourne sex creep who phoned women’s stores from his mother’s phone and forced female employees to listen to him perform lewd sex acts, claims he was “just mucking around”.

More than 100 Melbourne women have been left terrified by a perverted prankster who forced them to listen to him performing lewd sex acts in a string of deranged phone calls.
Michael Wright, 34, made more than 120 phone calls to gyms, lingerie stores, brothels, cosmetic shops, pole dancing clubs and women’s clothing stores in the hope a female would answer the phone.
When they did he would speak softly and breathe down the phone heavily in a sexual manner.
At the Melbourne Magistrates Court this week Wright pleaded guilty to a single count of using a carriage service to menace or harass, but admitted his offending spanned about three months.
Police said in that time he made more than 120 calls, and repeatedly harassed one victim.
He told her he had been into her clothing store and watched her from the change rooms, and demanded she stay on the phone while he completed a lewd sex act.
In an attempt to conceal his identity Wright even admitted to using his elderly mother’s phone to make one of the calls.
After he was arrested he told police he was “just mucking around and being rude.”
He said he hoped some of the girls would “play along and say something sexual back.”
Wright blamed the drug ice for his offending.
His lawyer told the court Wright had become a problem drug user while working as a chef, and was now on a disability pension.

Magistrate Andrew Capell said without drugs, he was confident Wright would not have offended.
“I’ll give you an opportunity to sort your life out,” he said.
Placing him on an 18 month community correction order, with conviction, Mr Capell ordered Wright complete 125 hours of community work and undergo treatment for his drug use.
