Parents plea, police offer $1m reward to help find mum who disappeared in 1995

The parents of Shari Davison have penned a heartfelt letter, 25 years after the Melbourne mum’s disappearance. A $1 million reward has been posted for information on the dancer, who has links to black widow killer stripper Robyn Jane Lindholm.

A $1 million reward will today be posted over the disappearance of a young woman which has been linked to black widow killer stripper Robyn Jane Lindholm.

Shari Davison, 26, disappeared from Footscray on February 18, 1995, after arriving home from a visit to Crown Casino where she had been with a male friend.

The mother and exotic dancer made phone calls at a nearby service station at about 2.45pm and was never seen again.

Her body has not been recovered.

Ms Davison’s parents, Sandra and Tom Davison, this week penned a heartfelt letter, pleading for anyone with information to help them find closure.

“Although it’s now been over 25 years, never a day goes by without us thinking about Shari – without us missing her, without us wondering what happened to her,” the letter reads.

“Shari was a beautiful, vibrant young lady and an extremely loving mother to her young son Luke.”

The pair state they are “running out of time to find the answers we desperately need” due to their age, and describe their daughter’s disappearance as “torturing and heartbreaking.”

“We will all love Shari forever, but love doesn’t give us any peace – we desperately need answers so Shari, and all of us, can finally rest peacefully,” the letter says.

George Teazis, who also went by the surname Templeton, has been previously named as a suspect in her disappearance.

His girlfriend was Robyn Jane Lindholm – former girlfriend of the late gangster Alphonse Gangitano – who has been investigated for three murders.

Lindholm had been a stripping colleague and friend of Davison in the period before she vanished and has for years been a person of interest in the case.

The Supreme Court last year jailed Lindholm for 28 years over the murder of Teazis in 2005.

She was already behind bars for organising the killing of another lover, Hawthorn gym owner Wayne Amey, in 2013.

Police believe Mr Amey – who was having an affair with Lindholm at the time – committed the Teazis murder.

Lindholm persuaded yet another lover, Torsten Trabert, and John Ryan, to kill Mr Amey, whose stabbed, battered and choked body was found in central Victoria.

Ms Davison had been renting a house with an associate of Teazis at the time of her disappearance.

She had a young child and had reportedly spoken of fearing for her own safety in the period before vanishing.

Detective Inspector Andrew Stamper of the Missing Persons Squad said police believe Shari was murdered and despite an extensive investigation, are still searching for answers.

“There is the possibility that the person or persons responsible for Shari’s death may have spoken to someone about Shari and today’s reward announcement may lead to them finally coming forward with information,” he said.
