Naked man arrested with drugs, guns in Pascoe Vale

A naked man has been arrested in a bizarre incident in Melbourne’s north, with witnesses saying he leapt from his car before dashing through parkland. And a police search uncovered contraband items in his car.

A naked man found hiding in a garage has been arrested with drugs and guns in Melbourne’s north.

Police were called to Austin Crescent in Pascoe Vale about 10am on Tuesday after reports a man had leapt from his car and started running through parkland.

The 24-year-old man was also said to be removing his clothes as he ran.

Officers arrived at the address where they found the man hiding in a garage.

A further search of his car, a Toyota Corolla, revealed two loaded firearms, cash and a commercial amount of drugs.

Victoria Police Senior Constable Adam West said officers then took the Pascoe Vale man into custody.

“The man was arrested and charged with traffick commercial drug of dependence, prohibited person possess firearm and traffic offences,” he said.

He will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
