Two more police officers have been charged over the leaking of photos of former North Melbourne coach Dani Laidley.

The pair will face court next month after a major internal investigation into the leaking of a custody photo and another image taken in an interview room of Laidley, formerly known as Dean.

Laidley was arrested in May this year but the photos were leaked within hours.

Victoria Police said a senior constable from the southern metro region had been charged with misconduct in public office, unauthorised access of police information and two counts of unauthorised disclosure of police information.

That officer is suspended and will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court February 11, 2021.

A constable from northwest metro region faces two counts of unauthorised disclosure of police information.

A Victoria Police statement said he had been transferred to other duties and will appear at the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on February 5, 2021.

“The investigation into these serious acts of misconduct remains ongoing,” the statement said.

One former St Kilda officer was earlier this month charged over the Laidley scandal.
