Man charged over alleged stabbing at St Kilda cafe
Witnesses say two men feuded over a woman before a horror daylight stabbing that left a footpath spattered with blood.

Police will probe what sparked a daylight stabbing at a busy St Kilda cafe on Sunday.
A man was rushed to hospital after he was allegedly stabbed in the neck multiple times by another man known to him.
Police were called to Staple Providore & Cafe on Fitzroy St about 10am following reports of “an altercation”.
A witness said they heard one man scream “help” before a commotion erupted.
Soon after the incident, two Samaritans performed a citizen’s arrest on the alleged offender until police arrived.
Another brunch-goer assisted the man who had suffered knife wounds in the neck.
The wild scene resulted in the cafe being cleared out and forced to shut for the day.
Another witness, Jayden Hunter, added: “Nothing prepares you for the screams of someone being attacked. Hope all is OK.”
A 42-year-old St Kilda man was arrested at the scene and has been charged over the horror incident.
He has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury, intentionally causing injury and assault with a weapon.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
