Man charged with a series of drive-by shootings

A Port Melbourne man has been charged with a series of drive-by shootings.
Detectives from Fawkner Embona taskforce had arrested the 26-year-old over three drive-bys in Melbourne’s north western suburbs in the past 16 days.
He faces 26 offences, including discharging a firearm at a premises.
Detectives also laid charges of being a prohibited person possessing a firearm, reckless conduct endangering life, theft of a motor vehicle and possessing the proceeds of crime.
Officers had been investigating two alleged shootings in Jacana and Hadfield on 12 January and a third in Jacana on Tuesday.
No one was injured during any of the incidents.
