A burly bikie with neo-Nazi SS bolts tattooed on his face has been charged over a cache of deadly weapons linked to the EastLink murder probe.
Detectives from the bikie-busting Echo Taskforce swooped on Andrew Heil, 30, from Carrum Downs, this morning.
He was charged with a raft of serious weaponry offences after police found six guns in a Port Melbourne storage facility as part of early morning raids on Wednesday.
Among the weapons was a deadly submachine gun.
Mr Heil, who bears the “1%” tattoo common for patched members of outlaw motorcycle gangs on his neck, arrived at Melbourne Magistrates Court in the back of a police car about 3pm.
Two hours later, when his case was called, he was not brought up from the cells to appear.
His lawyer Theo Magazis instead asked for the case to be adjourned to Tuesday.
He also requested Magistrate Michael Smith mark on Mr Heil’s file that he needed to see a doctor as soon as possible.
Mr Magazis said his client was waiting for surgery for an injury to his leg.
The leg, he said, requires a compression bandage, but it has been removed since he was taken into custody.
