Men arrested, guns, drugs seized in raid on Melbourne city apartment
Two men have been arrested in a major drug raid in which cocaine, ice and guns were seized at a short-stay apartment on Melbourne’s Queens Rd.

Guns, cocaine and ice have been seized in a major drug investigation centred on a Melbourne city short-term rental apartment.
Detectives from the drug taskforce also seized a pill press and a cash-counting machine when they pounced on the Queens Rd property.
A rifle with a sawn-off barrel was among three firearms uncovered by investigators.
An Oakleigh South man and a Caulfield South man, both aged 35, have been charged over the haul
The Oakleigh South man has been charged with trafficking cocaine and methylaphetamine, possessing cocaine, possessing drug trafficking equipment, possessing a traffickable quantity of firearms, being a non-prohibited person in possession of an unregistered category E longarm, possessing an unregistered general category handgun, failing to secure guns, possessing ammunition without a permit, failing to properly store ammunition, possessing a firearm with no serial number, shortening the barrel of a longarm and dealing in the proceeds of crime.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in court again on January 21 next year.
This morning a 35-year-old Caulfield South man was arrested today in Caulfield South.
He is being questioned.
Detective Supt Jacqueline Curran said: “To locate and remove three firearms from the community is absolutely a win for us and shows the link between drug offending and illicit firearms,” she said.
“This also highlights the willingness of offenders to use short-term rental properties as a base for criminal activity, often with little regard for any damage that might result at that premises.”
